Civil Engineers
Post 1 of 6- Must have a BSc in Civil Engineering.
- Must be a Member of a Professional Engineering Association.
- Must have 8 years of general experience and 7 years in the sector.
- Must have demonstrated experience in site supervision of roads, bridges, culverts, and associated roadway infrastructure on international donor-funded projects within the past five (5) years.
- Must have experience working in multidisciplinary teams of highway projects with at least 10km of roadway and at least five roadway structures.
- Must have excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Hydrologist/ Hydraulic Engineer
Post 2 of 6- Must have an MSc in Civil Engineering specialized in Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering.
- Must be a Member of a Professional Engineering Association.
- Must have ten (10) years' general experience in drainage design for civil engineering highway projects.
- Must have at least two (2) years' experience on a similar project in Guyana, the Caribbean, or a developing country.
- Must have experience in hydrological studies, hydraulic engineering, feasibility studies, drainage design, and complex modeling of systems for at least three highway/road projects.
- Must be familiar with software like HEC-HMS, SWAT, etc.
- Relevant regional experience is an asset.
- Must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
Bridge and Precast Expert (Deputy Team Leader)
Post 3 of 6- Must have an MSc in Structural Engineering from an accredited program or be a Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) or equivalent.
- Must have 15 years of general experience, 10 years of experience in the sector, and 10 years in similar assignments.
- Must have at least 15 years' extensive experience in designing complex bridges and have led design teams for Bridges with spans greater than 120ft.
- Must be proficient in advanced structural analysis and drafting/modeling software.
- Must have a deep understanding of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications or equivalent, and geotechnical engineering for foundations.
- Must have practical knowledge of construction methods, material properties, and site inspections.
- Prior work experience in Guyana and the Caribbean or a developing country is preferred.
- Must have worked in a similar position on at least three projects of a similar nature in the past five years.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Highway Design Specialist (Team Leader / Resident Engineer)
Post 4 of 6- Must have an MSc in Civil Engineering/Transportation/Highway Engineering or equivalent.
- Must be a Member of a Professional Engineering Association/Professional Engineer/Chartered Engineer.
- Must have 10 years of general experience, 15 years of experience in the sector, and 10 years in similar assignments.
- Must have extensive experience in highway engineering designs, construction, and maintenance.
- Must have been involved in the design of at least six major highway projects in developed/developing countries funded by multilateral agencies.
- Must have at least ten (10) years' experience as a Team Leader on projects in developing countries.
- Must have performed the Team Leader role on at least two projects of this size and complexity within the past five (5) years.
- Must specialize in pavement designs using AASHTO standards or equivalent codes.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Geotechnical Engineer
Post 5 of 6- Must have an MSc in Civil Engineering (Foundations/Soil Mechanics/Geotechnical Engineering) or equivalent.
- Must be a Member of a Professional Engineering Association/Professional Engineer/Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
- Must have at least 15 years' proven professional experience.
- Must have skills in conducting subsurface explorations, soil sampling, and laboratory testing on soil and rock samples.
- Must have experience in foundation designs, retaining walls, slopes, and similar structures.
- Must be proficient in engineering software for modeling and data analysis, with a deep understanding of geology and hydrology.
- Prior work experience in Guyana and the Caribbean or a developing country is preferred.
- Must have worked in a similar position on at least two projects of a similar nature in the past five years.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Cost Control Expert/ Quantity Surveyor
Post 6 of 6- Must have a BSc in Civil Engineering/Construction Management/Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- A master's degree in a related engineering/construction field is also considered.
- Must be a Chartered Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent body.
- Must have 12 years of general experience and 10 years in the sector.
- Must have four (4) years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Must have proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for construction projects.
- Must have demonstrated experience in tendering, contract administration, and procurement processes.
- Experience with government projects or international donors and knowledge of public procurement regulations are assets.
- Must be familiar with FIDIC Contracts or other standard contract forms.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
