Senior Expert - Customs
Post 1 of 2- Must have a Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised University/Institution. A Master's degree in International Trade, Finance, Economics, Law, Public Administration or a related field is preferable.
- Must have a minimum of 20 years of relevant professional experience.
- Must have at least 12 years of demonstrated experience in Customs and international trade, covering areas like Customs administration, international trade facilitation, port/land-port operations, Customs procedures, trade documentation, or regulatory compliance.
- Substantial experience in senior-level Customs/CBIC or equivalent Government/industry roles is preferred.
- Must have extensive knowledge of Customs procedures for import, export, transhipment, and transit.
- Must be familiar with World Customs Organization (WCO) instruments for Customs modernisation.
- Experience in Customs digitalisation, automation, or technology-enabled trade facilitation is an advantage.
Associate Expert - Customs
Post 2 of 2- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Applications or a closely related field, OR demonstrated professional experience in the use of ICT for international trade operations.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Must have at least 6 years of professional experience in the use of ICT for international trade operations, covering Customs, Customs examination/clearance, port/land-port operations, trade documentation, cargo movement, or regulatory compliance.
- Must have knowledge of trade digitalisation, Customs automation, and technical components of cross-border data exchange.
- Must have a practical understanding of Customs procedures and operational workflows at seaports and/or land ports.
- Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, data/document identification, data mapping, workflow validation, system/interface validation, functional testing, and/or User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for trade/Customs systems is required.
- Experience working with digital Customs/port/land-port systems or electronic information exchange platforms is an advantage.
